2009

Jeremy Norton Co-Founded CAIS

Our story starts in 2009 when Jeremy co-founded CAIS in New York to level the playing field by providing independent financial advisers access to leading alternative asset managers. Today CAIS has 32,000+ advisers transacting on the platform, which oversee USD$4tn+ in network assets.

2012

Jeremy Norton Moved to Australia

Jeremy moved back to Australia to focus on building the CAIS offering in the Asia-Pacific region. Over the last decade, we have cultivated a deep local network of institutions, family offices, financial advisors, and high-net-worth investors.

2014

AIPX Partners Established

AIPX was established as a separate entity to be the AFS Licensed exclusive distribution partner for CAIS in the Asia-Pacific region. AIPX offers access to the full CAIS menu and other leading alternative asset managers.

2023

AIPX Funds Management Established

Capitalising on the rising demand from financial advisers for alternative investments in Australia, AIPX made the strategic decision to establish a funds management business. AIPX Funds Management builds AUD unit trust structures for financial advisers to seamlessly access the alternative investments brought to Australia by AIPX. Advisors can now access to the local structures on most wealth administration platforms, providing integrated portfolio reporting, simplified trading processes and lower investment minimums.

Melanie is the co-founder and General Manager of AIPX Funds Management. Melanie brings over a decade of experience in wealth management beginning as a Financial Adviser before moving onto senior operations and management roles at leading wealth administration platforms. 

Melanie’s experience has focused on providing clients the best outcome. Melanie is responsible for the day-to-day running of the business. 

Melanie holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, Diploma of financial planning and is in the process of completing her MBA at The University of New South Wales.

Shenal brings over a decade of experience in financial services, with a strong focus on wealth and asset management. Prior to joining AIPX, he was a Key Account Manager at Platinum Asset Management where he serviced clients across Australia. Before that he held various roles at Macquarie Private Bank, most recently as a Private Banker.

With a deep understanding of the financial advice industry, Shenal has been an accredited Financial Adviser and has extensive expertise in portfolio construction and asset allocation for high-net-worth individuals. As a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), he has a strong understanding of alternative investment strategies and is passionate about working with advisers to incorporate these assets into client portfolios.

Shenal holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of New South Wales, an MBA from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning from Kaplan. He has also earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Jeremy brings over 23 years of experience in financial services and technology, specifically US technology and alternative investments.

Jeremy co-founded CAIS in 2009. Since then, CAIS has become the leading independent exchange for alternative investments for the global wealth management industry.

In 2012, after 3 years in London and 15 years in New York, Jeremy moved back to Australia to focus on building CAIS in Asia-Pacific. AIPX is the Asia-Pacific distribution partner for CAIS and several US and European based technology and alternative asset managers.

Jeremy received his Bachelor of Science (Economics) with Honours from the University of London.
